Venus fly trap


LI.To learn about the 7 characteristics of living organisms.
This week for Inquiry we did MRS GREN. We had to pick out of subjects like Venus fly trap, dolphin, dog, and bat. My group did Venus fly because we did Venus fly trap for our writing. My group did the Venus fly trap on a google slide and everyone worked on a google slide so that we could work faster enough. The Venus fly trap is a type of plant that shuts when its prey touches its hair. In the google slide its gives you facts like how do Venus fly trap sense, How does the venus fly trap grow.

Two diamond

LI. Learn how to make a two diamond out of a string. This week for Maori we had to make the two diamond out the string. Miss Odie teaches us how to do this. She told us to go on youtube and search it up so that we could learn how to make it. I learnt how to make this by going onto youtube and watching a video about how to make this two diamond out of a string.

Story web, Fact or Opinion, character trait,





LI.To identify parts of a narrtive, To infer information about characters in a story, To compare and contrast facts and opinion within the story.
This week for reading we did Story web, Fact or Opinion, character trait. We had to work by our selfs and work this out without anyone copying what your doing. I did this by making a copy of each DLO so that I could do this for our must do for reading. The first I finished was The story web, then the charater tait, then I did the fact and opinion then I had to blog it. I learnt how to make a copy each things and do the work I had to do.



Netuquette rules


LI.To interact online in kind, positive, and helpful way.
This week we did cyber smart. For cyber smart we had to do Netuquette rules about being on online. We had to watch a video and then fill out a google slide with our ideas. Then we had to work by ourself to this DLO about Netuquette rules and we had to do it on a google draw and had to do this on our own so that we learnt something about Netuquette rules an about smart relationships.

Kiwi Can

LI.To learn about accountability and consequences.
Today at Kiwi Can we had to go over on what we have been learning last week like accountability and consequences. Then we played our energizer and it was called hand soccer. How to play hand soccer you have to sit in a row and count your number your going to be and then when Mrs Lily calls your number than you have to get up and run to the cone and touch it before you get the ball and hit it into the goal so that you could get a try for your team. We played that game for a few rounds then we sat back down into a circle to go over what we were talking about in the morning, was accountability and consequences. Then we played another game called blind square. We played this game for a few minutes and there were four teams for each person had to have a turn.

Ripper Rugby

LI. Played the proper ripper rugby.
Today we had to learn how to play the proper ripper rugby. We got into four teams and 2 teams had to sit on the stage and the other group plays well the other team is waiting for their team. Hamish put us into the four groups and then started playing Ripper rugby for Kiwi Sport. At Kiwi Sport we had to learn how to pass the ball back and then played and got tries well playing ripper rugby. In Ripper rugby I learnt how to pass the ball backwards and run with the rugby ball to make a goal for our teams. At Kiwi Sport we had to get passed the ball and run with the ball so that we can race to make a goal.

Weave fish





LI. To make a weaving fish out of paper for te reo Maori.
Today we had to weave paper to make a fish and blog it for maori as we were doing it as Matariki. First we had to get two strips of white cutted paper and transfor it into the weave fish. We had to watch a video so that we know how to make the weave fish. Miss Odie tought us then told us to go on google maps and search names from the book she had read to us. I just needed a little bit of help to make this Weave fish so that I have a blogpost for Maori. I learnt how to make a Weave fish out of paper well watching a video the first part was hard to make beacause it had to be in between your fingers. The book we read was The Taniwha of Wellington harbour. We had to go onto google maps and look up names from the names Miss Odie wrote on the white board was, Whaitaitai, Peto-one, Te awa kairangi- hutt river, Matiu Island, Whanganui a tara, wgtn airport, we had to search these up on google maps then show it to Miss Odie.

Compulsory Task


This week for injury we had our compulsory tasks and our elective tasks. In our compulsory tasks we had Explanation, Fish bone, Poetry/prose and Sculpture. In our explanation we had to write about how a organism respires. In our fish bone we had to draw a fish bone organise showing the parts and functions of the respiratory and the circulatory system. In our poetry/prose we had to show how the circulatory system works by writing either a poem, a narrative or imaginative recount and in our sculpture task we had to Create a labelled sculpture of one of the parts of the respiratory/circulatory system in humans. In our elective tasks we had the Double Sequence Chart, Picture / Poster, Slide presentation, Song Lyrics, Venn Diagram video and word ring. In the double sequence chart we had to draw a double sequence chart and explain how a organism respire.In the Picture / Poster we had to draw a picture or poster showing the parts of the respiratory / circulatory system in humans or another animal but the task must be hand drawn. In the slide presentation we had to make a slide showing what the parts of the respiratory / circulatory system does. In our song lyrics we had to write a vocabulary list for all of the words used in the selected song.We really enjoyed this time doing Injury because we get to learn more things about our body. In the Venn diagram we had to compare the parts of a human and another organism that lets them respire. In the video we had to make a video explaining what each part of a human respiratory / circulatory system does and in our word ring we had to Create a concentric word ring of words for the respiratory / circulatory system.

Matariki

LI.To learn about matariki.
This week for Maori we had to do Matariki. Matariki is the Maori name for the cluster of stars also known as the pleiades. Matariki is a speacail celebration for the Maori New year, where they eat their kai and celebrate with there family and friends. Miss Odie teached us this for teo reo Maori. The activity we had to do was a Maori word search and then write down the Matariki song at the back of the page and then we sang songs woth Miss Odie and had fun learning about Maori and why they celebrate Matariki.
