Commenting

LI: To comment on someone's blog.
Today I comment on Liletina's blog post that she did for Inquiry. First I had to read the blurb and then I had to comment on her work. So after I read her blurb I comment on her work and said what I was going to type in and then I wrote Keep up the good work Florence. So that's what I did but first I read it then I commented on her blog but first I did a greeting and then I started typing what I was gonna type. I learnt how to comment on other students blog and write things that's not in there blog post.

Tunnel's

This week for Inquiry we had to make a Tunnel. For this tunnel working I was working with Florence, Alayah, Liane and I. The materials we used to make this tunnel and make it stronger so that the car could fit in we used spaghetti, straws, rubber bands and tape. We all worked as a team to create the tunnel and we had to make sure that the Ferrari could fit in our tunnel before the person in it will die. First we had to plan how much of each material that were gonna use on a white board and show it to the teacher and take a photo well the teacher is getting our materials out. After that we had to make our tunnel with those materials and we had to make sure it was strong so Florence told us what to do so that we could move on and put the glad rap on. So when it was time for us to put our tunnel in the sand it go crushed and the car was just at the same place but it kind of survived.

Keyboard Typing


LI: To learn how to type on keyboard typing. 
I went on typing tutor to learn how to type more faster. As you can see on the image I got some of it wrong because you have to type what's on your screen then you space after what you typed. Typing tutor can help type more faster also it can help with your typing. I learnt how to go on it and type fast as I could, It could help me would typing fast, also it tells you what to do and if  it has a red on the letter then that means you have to re type it because you got it wrong and you will need to re write it again and you have to keep on completing and it will tell you where to put your fingers on and type. Even you can just keep on typing faster and faster until you get good at typing on any website for typing.

Tables Conga

LI: To learn how to count in sevens.
This week I went on Tables Conga  to do counting in 2's,3's,4s,5s,6s, or sevens. When I went on I had to do my sevens it goes seven, fourteen, twenty-one, twenty-eight and the you just keep on finding the numbers to it but if you touch the X and if you try go near it you die straight away and you will need to start over again in sevens. I learnt that if you go close to the X or go near it you die easily and you will need to start over again. On Tables Conga it puts numbers in different places so its hard to get to the numbers and well your getting numbers the X will be everywhere and its gonna keep on coming up and it will try to make you out of the game so that you can start over again because you went to the X or you touch it.

Tunnel's


LI:To learn about tunnel's and the 5 main questions.
This week for Inquiry we had  to make a DLO about Tunnel's and use the 5 questions that are What are tunnels?, Who invented tunnel's, How tunnel's work and the last one was What are Tunnel's made of. We need to make this DLO to show that the 5 questions Mr O told us to do and go on the site and look at the information, Me and Alayah we wrote these information in our own words instead of copying what we didn't do.For this DLO I was working with Alayah and I we both did one slide and got information and looked on sites for those informations and make it in our own words. We had to look up information because next week were gonna have to make a tunnel.

Kiwi Can

At kiwi can we played two games called Tangle and the 2 was invaluable touch so we played tangle first so we if I was in then I have to try and tag the them when I tag one. so that we could be tangle we me so that we both could get more people to be with us are try and get the people that is not in. on 2 game we invaluable touch so we have to be in two groups and if she say 4 then 4 people has to go and if she say any umber that is how much people need to and if someone got the ball in my tram the other team has to try and get the ball off them but there is no ball we have to and make us get the try
I learned by not get angry if you get tag and to go away never give up and the last one was
to away and try every time.

A Wife for Te Ra

LI: To use the traditional methods to retell a myth, To Visualize to comprehend the text.
This week for reading we had to draw a picture and we had to buddy up with a Geronimo stilton. So first we had to buddy up with a Geronimo stilton and then after we budded up we had to get a paper and go with our buddy and sit at a table. I was working with Liletina and Juel and we had to say one part and we had to stop so that we can have time to draw our picture, we had to say one part then draw the picture and then the other person says the part then we have 2 minutes to draw the picture and we kept on repeating it to the other boxes.

Emotive Language


LI. To write informative but emotive paragraphs. 
This week for writing we had to do a poster about  Emotive Language. Emotive it a emotion that someone makes on there face. On my poster is has emotive information, sentences and emotive words on the poster, also on the poster we had to give the definition, examples and techniques. I thought of the simple sentences and just wrote it down on the text box emotive sentences. Emotive is a emotion that someone makes or just tell you what there emotion is. On the first text box emotive words it has emotive words can people or students can be like.

Snag Golf

This week for Kiwi sport we did Snag Golf. In Snag first we had to set it up so we went to grab equipment, to set our things up. First we had to put the hula hoop on the floor and hit para and hit it in the hula hoop, after we did that we had to sit back down and wait for Mr O to tell is what to do next. Then we had to grab the triangle and put it on the cracked line and tell someone to be back stop to catch the ball after we all had three tries My group will always be the first one to be sitting down and he will come to our group and demonstrate on my group. The group that I was with was Victoria, Florence and I. After we did that we had to put the hula hoop near the crack and put the flag far away near the line and if we hit the flag we get 20 points and if we get it in the hoop then we get 10 points for the class. Then we did it for a while then we had to pack away the things so that we could go back to class.

LI: Myths, Legends, folk and fairy tales.
This week for reading we had to read a myth ourself and then had to make a copy of this and visualize what we were reading and write it down. Then after we did that we had to make a google slide with photo's but with no text in the picture of the book and do a screencastify video reading the book but its only recording your voice. We had to do this by our self, The book we were reading was Hinemoa and Tutanekai. We had to practice the google drawing because next week were not gonna be using anything and Mr O will give us 2 papers and we had to be buddy's with a  different group.

Roads| Highways| Motorways|


LI: What is the main difference between Highways, Motorways, Roads.
This week for Inquiry we had to do a google slide about the difference about Roads, Motorways, Highways. I was working with Angelica and myself to finish this google slide. On a google slide we had Highways, Roads, Motorways in one slide, The second slide was Street, Crescent, Place, the next slide was Lane, Close, and arcade, The last slide was Drive, and Avenue, all of those was put into 5 slides. We had to find out the difference between street, Crescent, Place, close, lane , Arcade, and Drive and Avenue, we had to find the difference and we had  to write it down in each text boxes. We worked on each different slide so that we could finish this easily, and find information about the differences about Roads, Highways and Motorways.

Kiwi Can

This week we had Kiwi Can. The theme was perseverance and perseverance means trying your best, and the topic was frustrate. First we played our energizer called add on how you play is you have to stand up and just do any number using your fingers and we played that game for 3 rounds also we could do tricks to trick them. After we played the game we had to sit in the circle and recap what we were learning about. Then we played the activity the activity we played was Mr Matt put us into 4 group with six students and gave us a amount of cards and we had to build the tallest tower out of those cards also we had to use all of the cards we only had 5 minutes to build the tower. After we did that Mr Matt said don't get frustrated well your building the tower my group tried to make the biggest tower but the cards kept on falling down, and the people that was in group was Sione T, Pua, Sila, Ellenora, Sione A, and myself we were working together to make the biggest tower. Then Mr Matt said the winner of who build the biggest tower was Sandra's group because they used up all there cards to make there big tower.Then we did a little bit of GKQ.

Maths Activity


LI: To try different stations out.
This week for maths to go to each stations and work out what it says on the paper. On each station it will tell you what to do and you will need to be solving the questions. But on each station we do different multiplying on each station, also on each station you have to solve different things. I was working with Fau, Sakina, and Sulia and I but we had to make our own DLO, This was maths activity we had to do.

Tongan Language week | Drawing


LI. To make a google drawing about Family for Tongan Language week.
This week is Tongan Language week we went to LS2 to do Tongan stuff there. I was working with Florence and Nyjah to do this. We did the Family and in Tongan its Famili. My group did the girl and Carl did the boy so we compare it together to make a family with Tongan words and English words to do this. We had to make a copy of the girl and boy and change the colour of there outfit and that's what made there family because its a Tongan family and they looked different to there parents.

Kiwi Can

 LI: To have perseverance in yourself.
This week for Kiwi Can we were learning about the new topic perseverance. Perseverance means trying your hard and never giving up, but if you scared to try something new just try your best at it. After we were talking about perseverance we got into the game the first game was Target everyone got two turns to hit a target with the hula hoop, So Ms Lily put us into group one and group two. we played target for a while then we got back into the four. Then we were over talking of what we were just talking about perseverance. Then we played another game it was called perseverance challenge it was when there was five stations the first station was we had to grab a piece of paper and write down words 3 or more in 2 minutes so then that means that at every station we went to we had to have 2 minutes of do that activates. After that we had to go to the next station and do what it tells us to do. Then we had to sit back down in our 4 lines well Ms Lily said there was no time for GKQ so she got straight into the points and group A and group B got 23 points on a new column then we did our catchphrase but it was our class's catchphrase which we do after Kiwi Can.

Fin McCool


LI.Myth legends folk and fairy tales.
This week for reading we did a myth and it was about 2 giants Fin McCool and benadooner. First we had to make a copy of the Fin McCool drawing so that we could visualize what was in the story and write in down in each text box, So that when were drawing we just can see what I wrote down on the paper while I'm drawing. Then we had to answer the questions under the paper it was five questions we had to answer. While we were writing in the text box we had 2 minutes to write down what we visualize what Mr O said while he was reading the myth and we were listening. Every group wrote different thinking of what the story was about, also we had to draw the next day but it didn't need to be a good writing in each box for drawing we had 5 minutes to draw in each box so then we had 30 minutes in each box. A myth is a story that is told to you in a different way to you, but maybe be true or not, also its a traditional myth that is being told.

Games| Video|

LI: To make a video about Roundabouts, Traffic lights, and pedestrian crossing.
This week for Inquiry we had to make a google slide planner about roundabouts, pedestrian crossing and traffic lights. We had our own slides for each one we pick to do and search about information about roundabouts, traffic lights, and pedestrian crossings. For this Inquiry work I was working with Alayah and Florence. We picked what we really wanted to do so I did pedestrian crossing, Alayah did traffic lights and Florence did roundabouts. When we were finish with our Planner we had to go and record our video for  traffic lights, pedestrian crossing and roundabouts and also in the slides we had the main ideas and other information about those things. After we did our video Mr O said that we could play games about our learning we did. The first game was that we couldn't make lots of cars make a huge traffic because it would be a traffic jam, but if a car is coming and you clicked the green light just be careful because they might crash or still be going. The second game was we had to make a race track but in 1 minute so that the cars can go and feel free. The third game was we weren't allowed  to make people be waiting and if a car has broke down you will need to click the top of it until the helicopter comes and gets it so then you move to the next level if you don't muck up the level or crashing into other cars. Cause if there was no traffic lights in these games then there will be crashing and having accident.
