Matariki

LI.To learn about matariki.
This week for Maori we had to do Matariki. Matariki is the Maori name for the cluster of stars also known as the pleiades. Matariki is a speacail celebration for the Maori New year, where they eat their kai and celebrate with there family and friends. Miss Odie teached us this for teo reo Maori. The activity we had to do was a Maori word search and then write down the Matariki song at the back of the page and then we sang songs woth Miss Odie and had fun learning about Maori and why they celebrate Matariki.
