Activity 2: Exploring Our Roots
This afternoon we have been learning about a pepeha and the purpose of doing it. A Pepeha is simillar to a mihi it is a phrase of welcome and identity. My pepeha is about me and my mountain, river, name, country, and etc. I have these in Maori and in English, and have pictures on the side so that it becomes more understanding. I enjoyed doing this activity and learning about what a pepeha means and understanding what it is.
