Matariki Celebration

Yesterday Panmure Bridge school had Matariki Celebration. The groups that were performing was Junior Kapa Haka, Senior Kapa haka, Pacifica, The drumming group, Ukulele. Everyone had to go to the Juniors playground so we could go there and performed what we have been learning about Kapa Haka, Drumming, Ukulele and Pacifica group. We eached performed what we have been learning from the pass and had to performed to the the people and students who did not join into anything. Before everyone was going to perform we had to sing a song with Mrs Odie. After we sang the first group to perform was the Senior Kapa Haka, the senior Kapa haka performed 3 dances they have been learning the past few weeks with Mrs Odie. After they performed its was the drumming group to perform what they have been learning how to drum in the past few weeks when they have been learning with Mr Matt. After the drumming group with Mr Matt, It was the Junior Kapa Haka group to perform what they were learning with Mrs Odie. They performed a dance with the song Waiti, Waita that song and they did there own actions to the song they have been learning about and sang it by them selves with out the Music playing. Then after Junior Kapa haka performed its was the Ukulele group to perform what they did past the few weeks they have been learning how to play the Ukulele. After the Ukulele group it was time for the Pacifica group to perform what they have been learning the past few weeks. The Pacifica group performed there Cook Island dance they have been learning the past weeks. After the Pacifica group Mrs Odie said the pray so that we can form 2 lines so that we could eat sausage sizzles, and also there was 400 sausage sizzles for Panmure Bridge school.
