Brain lesson with Mrs Turner
Yesterday we got a brain lesson with Mrs Tuner, we learnt different things from the other time she came to Glenbrae school. Yesterday's was about the simple things about our brains and AMYGDALA. The first thing she told us about our brains and names about it and then she told us about the bones behind our head which was the bone and alerts the other body parts. After learning all about that we watched a video about a producer and her kids telling us about what they feel and everything else. This brain lesson was fun and learning about brains was a good thing. After the video she was telling us about it and asking us questions about the video that we watched on the t.v. Later on she taught us something to do with our hands, So we used our hands as a example of the smoke alarm and the senors it tells your body if your safe or now. So the thumb was the switch / on and off and the rest of our fingers were telling us if we were safe or not. Example - The smoke alarm went off because it smelt fire, thats the senor that told the smoke alarm to go off and sometimes it plays up so you need to becareful with smoke alarms because sometimes they can fool you. This is what we learnt yesterday about brains.
