Retell

LI.To retell the text by keywords.
I learnt how to make 4 google slides for my group. I also learnt how to get my keywords of the book that I read and write it down on a white board, and record myself reading the keywords I wrote down. I also had to start over again because everyone wasn't quiet so then I asked Mr O if I could go outside and record myself on flip grid.

So then I found a blog post of there Team Motto and then I did a comment on Victoria's blog post. Then I blogged about commenting on Victoria's blog post.
 

Kiwi Can


LI. Learnt about New topic.
Today we had Kiwi Can. For Kiwi Can we played 2 games called guess the emotion and 21. First we had to sit into 4 lines and wait until Mr Matt and Mrs Lily to tell us what to do. Then Mrs Lily asked what is our Topic for today and then she said don't look at the board because its not going to be there. Then Mrs Lily said that we are now gonna get on with our enerjizer. Later on Mr Matt said its going to be 21, but we were playing with the ball. The first game we played was could 21 . we played this game with a ball and you kind of needed a lot of people and you need to make a circle and you need to pass the ball on to the person next to . then we played it a different way so this way was similar to  other one but with this one you are aloud to pass it back to the same person but you can not keep on doing it the same time and also if you get to 21 you have to sit down . Then if you are the last group of people you have to take 2 steps in and keep playing until it got up to 1 person .Then we played the game guess the emotion . 

We played a like this so Mr matt our kiwi can teacher will write an emotion on the board and we had to get into 4 lines at first and then it went the 1st person then the second and over and over again until you were the last person . some of the emotions we played were jealous , happy , sad , Depressed and others . 

Cybersmart: Clean Google Drive

LI.To Organised our files correctly.
This week for Cybersmart we had to clean out our google drive, but put every DLO in the right file. We had to do this by getting a buddy like Mr Wong said the year 5 from last year has to go with the year 5 thats in LS1 now, and the years 6's have to buddy up with the year four's. How to clean up your drive is that if you scroll down on your google drive then that means that you don't file any of the DLOs you do each time. So first you have to get the first DLO and put it in the correct folder so that you now where it is, Also if you delete the folder than that means you have to make a new folder or you have to check in the bin if that folder is in it, Like Reading, Writing, Maths, Inquiry that the important stuff you have to leave on your google drive first.

Duffy Assembly

LI.To read and get better at achievements. 

Our Duffy guests today were Matt Johnson and Tayla Hodson Tomokino and Matt Johnson. Matt was a rugby player for blues. Tayla was a BMX rider, even Tayla is a Accountant, Commentator and Interviewer. Tayla's achievements was National Bmx champion, Even Tayla has played ruby as touch. Even Tayla was a Bmx chamipon and there was photo of Tayla on new paper and on the news when she was young, Also she was highest for 2nd in the bmx rider on the tracks. Matt played for the Melbourne Storms. What they want to be in the future is that Matt wants to be a P.E teacher, and Tayla wants to graduate in law and help sports people with with contracts.

Kiwi Sport

LI. Learnt how to play softball.
Today for Kiwi Sport we had Softball. We learnt how pitch and catch the softball with the glove. First we had to run around the play ground and come back to Ash. Then Ash put us into batting and pitching so then when the last person on batting will run to the bases and then Ash will say swap over with pitching. Then Ash said that she is going to pass the softball and we have to hit it but if you can't hit then she will grab the t and you will have to hit of the t if you can't hit the softball if Ash says. For Kiwi Sport was kinda hard because we were not hitting of the t only if you can't hit the softball that Ash throws to you. Then later on we had to keep on changing groups for pitch with the glove and the batting with the bat.

Homophones


LI. To show an increasing knowledge of how a range of text conversations can be used appropriately.
Today for writing we had to do Homophones. First I had to make a copy of this Homophone google draw, and put the incorrect words in the other text box with the wrong words with a defection and for the right words we have to leave it in the text box that its already in. This was kinda easy but we had to look for the defections of this Homophone writing must do.

Motto


L.I to learn how to focus on motto's and what they are.
I learnt how to make a motto for my team and find different kind of motto's from all around the world. I learnt this by picking brands and food for our whole team to do. I worked with Liletina, Miiana, Angelica and Sione A. The brands we used were Adidas,Jordan's and Nike the food we used on the slide was McDonalds, Wendys, Burger King and KFC. We had to find the motto's for all of those items.

Device skills


LI.To learn and use core digital device skills.
Today for Cybersmart we had to do Device skils. We had to get into a pair of 2 like someone. I learnt how to make a copy of this google slide about Device skills. My buddy for this Device skills google slide was Liletina,I did four slides and she did three slides of this work. For this google slide we did someone a bit like keyboard short cuts but a google slide way. This did not take forever to finish, but this only took a few hours then I blogged it with my buddy Liletina.

Kiwi Can

LI.Learn about role models.
Today for Kiwi Can we played games and talked about some other things.Then we got into a circle to play the game 21, but we were using a ball to pass it around but if you have the ball and your number 21 then your out but when there's small people playing then we have to make 2 steps forward. Then when we finish playing 21 we sat down in a circle and talked about role models, Then Mr Matt asked Mrs Lily who she looks up to, then Mr Matt asked Mr Latu then Mr Latu showed us a video of Mr Matt singing with a band in the UK. Later on we had to get into 3 lines and the game we played was who am I so the leader standing at the front it not allowed to look at the back, so then Mrs Lily is gonna write something on the board and the leader can only answer questions like yes or no. Then we played until the last person sat down then did the GKQ, for GKQ you have to stand up and answer the questions that Mr Matt,Mrs Lily or the teacher will say one and you would need to answer it or someone else would say it.

Retell-Keywords

LI.To identify key words as nouns, verbs, adverbs, and Adjectives in a text. Today for reading we had to read cooking an Uga and finding key words for Nouns, Verbs, Adverbs, and Adjectives. I learnt how to find keywords in the book and put it in the correct key words text, but we did it on a goggle slide called Retell Keywords. I also learnt how to learnt about what was a keyword with my group and learnt about what is a Noun, Verb, Adverbs, Adjectives, Then I did the Reval, Events, Ending.

Emblem/Flag


LI. To make a flag/Emblem for an example of the Olympic flags. I learnt this by finding out what culture. My group was Liletina, Angelica, Sione A, Florence and I. When I found out everyone's culture we put on little parts of the flag and we put it on the D.L.O. I learnt this by looking up everyone's country's flags and finding out how to make the flag on the D.L.O.The countries we put on were New Zealand, Tonga, Samoa, and America. Samonacaland explains, Sam stands for Samoa, onga stands for Tonga, ca stands for America.

Kiwi Can

LI. To learn about Leadership.
Today we went to Kiwi Can and played some games and talked with Mr Matt and Mrs Lily. Today for Kiwi Can we had to sit in four lines and tell Mr Matt and Mrs Lily whats our theme and topic for this week. Then we get into our energizer game and it was called rock, paper, scissors, but we played it a different way so the way we played it was you have to get a buddy and vs each other to see who wins but if you lose you have to  line up at the back of your buddy and cheer on when they are vs someone else but if you lose you have to go at the back of the persons back that you've have vs then vs until you win the game.
Then we sat back down on the floor in the four lines and then talked with Mr Matt and Mrs Lily about what we did. Then we got into our activity charades this game was a acting game and how to play is we had to get into 3 groups but Mrs lily sort us out into each groups then someone has to go to Mr Matt and Mrs Lily so that they could tell the person from there group to act and there group has to say the character but if we get it wrong we lost but if we get it right that group wins, the game we played was so fun because we get to act in front of our group and we have to point at the person who says it. Then we got to do GKQ in the four groups were in, but we got to answer questions that Mr Matt or Mrs Lily says to us and we had do a action before we answer the question.

Pop Art


LI.To create something like Andy Warhol's. 
I learnt how to be creative and create something like Pop Art. I also learnt how to do step by step instead of starting from the begging. We had to take a photo then get your piece of photo outline our face with a blue pen. Next we had to turn to the back page and put it on window and shade it side to side with a pencil. When I finish tracing myself I went to go and show the teacher and they put a white piece of paper at the back of our black image and outline ourselves again with a red pen. I didn't press to hard that's why you can't really see the outline. Finally I had to pastel the white that shows my face from the image I had not to do the black parts of it that I didn't have to do. When I was finish with that I had to go put it where we were to told to put it to it could dry out the black paint.

My Best Holiday


LI. To sequence and group ideas accurately.
Today for writing we had to do fix this Mix and Match and make this Mix and Match in the correct place. I learnt how to make a copy and get working on this Mix and Match. But I was working with Akuhata and Sulia for this writing for this Mix and Match my best holiday. I learnt how to work in three pairs and fix up this Mix and Match with my group doing one person does one thing and the other person does same so that we worked in a three pair group. 

Subtraction / Additon


LI. To add subtract by counting up or down.
I learnt how to make a copy and write down the answers but if it says try again then try again because its the wrong answer, but if it says Great job that you got the answer right. Today for Maths we had to fill out our Addition / Subtraction. But the easiest thing to use is you can count from your fingers but the limit of your fingers are the limit of ten. 

Main Ideas

















LI. Understands that the order and organisation of words, sentence, paragraph, and images contribute to and affect text meaning.
Today for reading we had to do main ideas and had to figure out the Who, What, When, Where and Why and the book we did was called Flipperball. First we had to read little parts of the story then write it down on the Main Ideas slide and write down something in each column that goes with it. Then the things you have to write in there doesn't have to been to long but you just have to write something down at least. I learnt how to write down ideas from the book that I read and put it down on the google slide for Main Ideas. I didn't even know that Flipperball exist until I read the book but it sounds fun to read and at the back of the page it tells you where you have to stand.

This vs That


LI. To learn about This vs That.
This week for Inquiry we had to make a DLO about This vs That and showing facts about Olympics and PBS facts for this vs that DLO. Then we had to work in pairs and I was working with Angelica and myself. We need to find facts about the Olympics and PBS so we had to do, Olympic Motto, PBS Motto, Olympic Creed, PBS Whakatauki, Olympic Flag, PBS logo Olympic Values and PBS values and search it up on google for some facts or information for the DLO. We cooudn't find all information or facts but only found a little bit of facts or information on google then write down on the DLO This vs That. Then we had to make the connection of the Olympic flag and the PBS logo. Finally the Motto for the Olympic was kinda hard to find but then we found it and it was Citius, Altius, Fortius, but in English it is Faster, Higher, Stronger.
