It was a lot of fun playing cricket with everyone in LS2. We worked in teams and had to think about how are we gonna be communication with our team. Sione got the highest score in our class with 20 runs. With the batting and bowling there is different rules. This was a fun first session of cricket with Brian who coaches us cricket for kiwi sport.

Swimming

This was another time of having swimming lessons. I haven't been going to swimming lessons but today was the third lesson of having swimming lessons. Today when we were at swimming lessons we were doing some new things and trying to be safe while were in the water. The first thing we did was got onto the bus and the bus driver drove us to the Panmure lagoon to do swimming lessons with our instructors. When we got their we had to get off the bus and go to where the Panmure lagoon was. The instructor for the year 7's we had James. James was a fun instructor he taught us what we learnt in the past few weeks and what he came up with for session three.

The stuff we learnt today was diving so deep down to touch the ground, doing free style after three arm strokes we had to get up and breath, floating on our back and doing arm strokes, floating with boards and only kidding our legs with our head, floating and kicking our legs in the water with the board facing us. All that was what we did at swimming, it was a bit hard to do the ones with our heads up and also how we were doing free style because it was way to hard for me to breath, but for the one diving down into the water because its a little bit hard for us to be breathing.

Then Angelica did it to me with her left hand and her right hand, And then it was my turn to do it to Angelica after we both did it we were starting to learn the hook punch and the upper cut. After Pax taught us how to do the upper cut and the hook we had to do it all together while she comes with the gloves and we could punch it with hook first, and then Pax told us to do the upper cut while shes coming to us. And then she said well I’ll see you guys next week for another session of boxing and then we had to put our gloves back and go wash our hands then we said bye Pax and went back to class.

Kiwi Sport

This week for ripper rugby we learnt more about how to play ripper rugby. First Hamish said to get a belt and ripper and put it on the belt and come to the courts. Then Hamish was talking to us about that we are now going to play ripper rush.  How you play ripper rush it likes bull rush but you don't have to tackle the person down there is going to be two taggers they have to try and take off your ripper then you will be in with them until the next round. but if you go out of the bounds then you out and you have to be in with the taggers. Then Hamish talked to us again and said now we will play another game but forgot what it was called. How to play this game you will need to get a buddy and line up behind you partner the person behind has to run and get your partners ripper of the back of your partner. I was with Nicole, we played that game for a while. Then we played another game and that the game we were going to play was colours. In this game we had to get into a row this game is like cats and dogs but we used colours, we used colour orange and yellow, also my partner had to try and take off my ripper. Then Hamish said were going to play ripper rugby but don't go hard call or else something will get hurt. We were playing ripper rugby but we were in our own groups. Later on we had to go back to class beacuse it was almost morning tea time, then we came back to the class room for morning tea.

Kiwi Sport

LI. Learnt how to play softball.
Today for Kiwi Sport we had Softball. We learnt how pitch and catch the softball with the glove. First we had to run around the play ground and come back to Ash. Then Ash put us into batting and pitching so then when the last person on batting will run to the bases and then Ash will say swap over with pitching. Then Ash said that she is going to pass the softball and we have to hit it but if you can't hit then she will grab the t and you will have to hit of the t if you can't hit the softball if Ash says. For Kiwi Sport was kinda hard because we were not hitting of the t only if you can't hit the softball that Ash throws to you. Then later on we had to keep on changing groups for pitch with the glove and the batting with the bat.

Kiwi Sport

I learnt how to throw today and I also learned how to do shot put.I was so exciting to throw a shot put high as I could and then when Andy said to get your shot puts and pass on to the next person and see how high there one might go.If you don't know what shot put is this is how you do it, you get a shot pit ball, make sure you hold the ball with the fingers, you also have to hold the ball up to you're neck. After that you have turn the opposite side of where you are throwing, then you have you're chin knee toe all in a row, after you have to throw the shot put that you have and then throw it high as you could and watch it fly. After that Andy will say go and grab you're shot puts and pass it back to the other person after you to have the same try.
