Kiwi Can
This week we got another lesson of Kiwi Can with Mrs Grace and Mr C Manu, our theme was positive relationship and we also got to play 2 fun games. First we got in and they talked about what we were learning about last week. After talking about that we played the first game which were Up and Down, this game was about one side to flip the cone down and the other team had to flip the cone upwards. This was a funny game to play and it was fun flipping over the cones and having to verse your friends or other people. After we played the energizer we talked about the game and if it was fun or not and then we did the catch phrase that Mr C Manu made up for us to learn. Later on Mr C Manu asked Karlos to be in his role play and then they tried and acted so that after they acted we could ask questions about how he could be changed. Nextly when Mr C Manu and Karlos finished acting and answered the questions we played a game called street fighting, for this game we had fight actions which were 5 actions which were 1 for one punch, 2 for 2 punches, 3 was kick, 4 was upper cut and spin and five lastly was air push, there were two different teams and the leaders were Mr C Manu and the other leader was Mrs Grace. We played that game for a few rounds and then got the finals and they played a round and then got to verse the other team and saw who was going to win and then we got the two last people. They had a round and the winner was Haylee from our team and the other team sadly lost but that was a fun game to play.

Kiwi Can
Today we got another Kiwi Can lesson with Mrs Grace and Mr C Manu. First we came in and greeted them and then started with our energizer. The first game we played was the push up challenge. How to play we you get a buddy, after that you have a cone in the middle of you and your partner and someone tells you the magic word and if they don't say the magic word and you still touch the cone your out of the game and need to do a push up. We played a few rounds of that game and then sat down and talked about giving it a go and sharing your experience. After talking about giving it ago we played a game called 1v1 and you got a partner and the teacher will say do a dramatic crying for example or some type of action and when you turn around to your partner you show them by giving it a go. We played a few rounds then did the end of the road GKQ. GKQ is when the teacher asks questions and you have to answer quicker than the other person, and the team that won was the boys and sadly the girls lost, but we enjoyed playing that game.

Kiwi Can
LI: To include and engage others by being sensitive to their feelings.
This week was our first session of Kiwi Can with Mrs Mac and Ms. Grace. The theme for this term was positive relationships, fairness, and Fairplay. We started with an energizer, called Change Places. For this activity, Ms Grace called out some things that we might like and if we liked it, we would change places with a different person. After we did our energizer, we talked about words related to empathy, which were courtesy, common sense, and consideration. Some examples to show courtesy with words are having manners, being kind, and being polite. Some other examples to show courtesy without words are hand gestures, facial expressions, and body language. To show common sense, you make wise choices and trust your instincts. Some ways to show consideration is thinking about others and how people may feel. Lastly, we talked about some ways to show empathy which are, being kind, supportive and being considerate. After that, we did an activity, where we acted out the positive or negative ways of showing empathy. In our group our play was about someone crying because she was bullied, so we decided to cheer her up.

Kiwi Can
This week for Kiwi Can we learnt about trying to be focused on work instead of getting distracted. The topic and theme for Kiwi Can was resilience and it means trying your hardest and bouncing back. We first played a energizer before we started talking about the topic. The energizer we played was Mexican wave, its when you do the Mexican wave around the little circle we made, we also did it in our own version. After we played Mexican wave we talked about getting distracted. We talked about all the things that can make you get distracted and distracting. What stops us from focusing us on work, online games, youtube, email notifications, chatting with friends, socail media, distracted by others screens, not paying attention, different priorities, not focusing on what you need to do, and going on something bad and making a lie to your teachers. After we talked about focusing on a task we play a distracted circle game. Its when you have 5 people in your group and one is in the middle, one person is in the front of them, and one in the back and two people on the sides. The person that is in front you have to copy the person, and the person on your left is singing a song to you, and the person on the right has to tell you a story. And you have to remember what they were telling you.

Kiwi Can
On Wednesday we had Kiwi Can with Mrs Mac. We had to sit down and listen to the instructions that Mrs Mac was saying to us. Then we got into our enerjizer, the game we played was get into pairs. After we did that one of your partners had to be blindfold and we had to rely on our partners because we were blindfold. Then we had another round with the person in the back has to open their eyes, my partner for this game was Sakina. After that we sat back down and listened to Mrs Mac telling us what was the hardest part of the game. The hardest part was when everyone was blindfold and they never knew who they were looking for, and the easy part was when we had our eyes open and we could see where we were going. Then we sat back down and talk about relying on you or your partner. After that we got into our activity the activity was when you get a partner and you hold each others hand and try and balance while your going up, down, or side ways. My partner was Ellenora we did good, but we were having fun at the same time.

Kiwi Can
For this term's topic and theme for Kiwi Can is Integrity and honestly. Honestly is when your telling the truth and not being scared or shy to tell your parents or caregivers what you did because it will just care less trouble but if you don't tell it will make you get into more trouble, Integrity means when you do something when no ones looking. The activity we played was role play and we had to get into groups of 4 and we had to show how we could show honest in our role play. What I found interasting was to learn was the meaning of integrity and honest. We had something to finish off our Kiwi Can session and what we did was play a game of GKQ but we played it a different way. Later on after we played GKQ Mrs Paige did the points and we got 49 points.

This photo shows it was important to have integrity when we got the wrong change of money and we gave back it back to the shop keppers and they gave us the right amount of change that was the role play for my group.
