Te Huarere


This week for Maori we had to make a google slide  or a google doc of Te Huarere and Mrs Odie read us a book about the weathers from Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We had to do the weathers for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and the last slide was Wednesday. On Sunday it was cloudy and I for the text I did the Maori Version and English Version for all the slides and add the picture of Auckland and all the weathers ever since Sunday the 28 till 31 of Wednesday of October. I made a google slide about the weathers from Sunday the 28th to Wednesday the 31 of october we did this with Mrs Odie because she told us to do this for our work. Also it was like we were doing a book about the weather but it was about Auckland.

Kiwi Can


This week for Kiwi Can we recover what we were talking about in week 1. First we had to get into groups of 4 and sit down and listen to Mr Matt and Mrs Paige. Then we had to listen to Mrs Paige because she was the one who was telling us the game that we were gonna play, the game that we were playing was center ball. How you play is Mrs Paige tells you a number and you have to stand in a circle and the number she calls a number and the number that gets called has to run around and come back to your spot and get the ball but if you get it last nothing happens you just go back to the spot that you were at. Then we sat back down into 4 fours and we and to recover what we were talking about. Then we had to talk about school rules and other stuff that we were talking about. Then we got into our activity and the activity that we played was Bus Stop, Mrs Paige put us into groups with 4 students, the students in my group was Sakina, Pua, SioneT and I, We all worked as a team to do this and win the game of Bus Stop, The winner for Bus Stop was my group we got 155 points on bus stop. Then Mrs Paige did our points and we got 23 points just like group A.

10 words to describe Paula

This week for reading we had to do a different activity but with the same book. This week I descied to do 10 words to describe Paula and 10 words that I don't know from the book and look up the definitions for 5 words. The first thing I had to do was 10 words to describe Paula then I did the 10 words I didn't know from the book and I had to look up the definitions for the 5 words I didn't know from the book.Also this was  part of the follow up tasks that I wanted to do because on the follow up sheet. I learnt how to do one of the follow up tasks and the task was 10 words to describe the character and find 10 words in the book and you don't know and look up 5 definitions of those 5 words.

Commenting


LI: To comment on someone's blog.
Today I comment on Charlize's blog post that she did for Writing. First I had to read the blurb and then I had to comment on her work. So after I read her blurb I comment on her work and said what I was going to type in and then I wrote Keep up the good work Charlize. So that's what I did but first I read it then I commented on her blog but first I did a greeting and then I started typing what I was gonna type. I learnt how to comment to others blog.

Tables Conga

LI: To learn how to count in sevens.
This week I went on Tables Conga  to do counting in 2's,3's,4s,5s,6s, or sevens. When I went on I had to do my sevens it goes seven, fourteen, twenty-one, twenty-eight and the you just keep on finding the numbers to it but if you touch the X and if you try go near it you die straight away and you will need to start over again in sevens. I learnt that if you go close to the X or go near it you die easily and you will need to start over again. On Tables Conga it puts numbers in different places so its hard to get to the numbers and well your getting numbers the X will be everywhere and its gonna keep on coming up and it will try to make you out of the game so that you can start over.

Keyboarding

I: To learn how to type on keyboard typing. 
I went on typing tutor to learn how to type more faster. As you can see on the image I got some of it wrong because you have to type what's on your screen then you space after what you typed. Typing tutor can help type more faster also it can help with your typing. I learnt how to go on it and type fast as I could, It could help me would typing fast, also it tells you what to do and if  it has a red on the letter then that means you have to re type it because you got it wrong and you will need to re write it again because you got it wrong. I learning how to type more faster on typing tutor.

Geometry Shapes


This week for Maths we did another activity and the one I did was Geometry Shapes. I made a google slide with  Activity One, Activity Two and Activity  Three, For Activty  one I did flip, slide, rotation and on that slide you have to take photo of Flip, Slide, and Rotation, The next slide was you have to look up the defenations about Flip, Slide and rotaion and type it in the text boxes, for activity three it was a easy one you have to put the 3d shapes in the 3d shapes box and the 2d shapes in the 2d shape box. I learnt how to make my own activites and learn about Geometry shapes.

WW1

This week for Inquiry we did the next activity and it was M. A. I. N for World War One. The first thing we had to do was watch 3 videos and do the Immediate Cause. M. A. I. N. stands for Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism, Nationalism. I was working on M and I and Sione T was working on the A and N. I did  the Immediate Cause well Sione T was doing his part of this activity for slide 4 and I screenshoted the picture of the video one of the videos that I was watching and that they got shot and the video was about them getting shotted and other stuff. I learnt about new facts about the Immediate Cause and some new stuff also from the video that I watched.

Boxing

This week LS1 group A and group B had our first lesson of boxing for Kiwisport. First Pax introduce herself to us and said why boxing is a sport and other stuff about boxing. Then Pax said you have to go grab gloves and boxing gloves also you can to pick what is your size because the black boxing  glove is heavy, then she said if you can’t grab it in 90 seconds then you have to do berpy or if you do something bad and you learnt it from boxing you all get to do the berpy as your punishment. So then we all grab the boxing gloves and the other gloves and did it before Pax finished counting down from 90 seconds. Then we sat back down and it was pass 90 seconds and everyone had to do one berpy. After we did that we had to get into partners and my partner was Angelica, then Pax said after we got into our partners we had to get into one and two Angelica was number one and I  was number two. We had to stand on the white line and Pax said now we're gonna do the Jam the Jam was when we had to hit with our left hand and wait for Pax to come with the gloves so that we could punch it. Then we had to sit back down and wait, then she said let’s do Jam Jam cross so the cross is your right hand and Jam Jam is the left hand. Then we kept on doing it and she was taking a video of us doing it. Then we had to sit back down because the lesson was nearly finish then she told us to put the boxing gloves away and the other gloves, then Mr Wong said that we could go wash our hands because of the sweat in the gloves and that we will have smelly hands. Then we said bye Pax see you next week. Also she taught us about the rules about boxing and don't hit anyone or anywhere after school or in the classroom when something is happening, because if the teacher or anyone tells her we all have to do the punishment all together.

Messed up Recount



LI: To correct certain structure and language features in a recount.
This week for writing we had to Fix up Mr Wongs messed up recount and make it into a good version. The first thing we had to do was make a copy of the messed up recount and  go to the paragraph we had to fix up. The paragraph we had to fix was paragraph 4 we had to fix up some of the words because it wouldn't make sense, why we had to fix up the bad version because the paragraph we had to do was we had to do paragraph structure. I learnt how to fix up the bad version and make my own copy and fix up the bad version to make it a good version.

Maori

This week for Maori Mrs Odie read us a book and the book was could Remember that November. After Mrs Odie read us that book she told us to search up Parihaka taranaki on google maps, then she told us to search us Parihaka on google and go to wikipedia and read the facts, then she told us to search up a song on YouTube and the song was called Parihaka. Then we went on our chrome books and search up the things that Mrs Odie told us to search up. I learnt about new facts in the book that I didn't know.

Smart Media


LI:To identify gimmikes used to arttract and peruade people to purchase products.
This week for Cyber-Smart we had to finsh the 3 slides before we finished this Smart Media google slide. The 3 slides we had to finsih was who created the media and other stuff on slide 11 with orange text and the 12 slide was when consuming we need to consider and other questions that LS1 did but we had to write it down in orange text.

Jacqueline Crompton Ottaway


This week for Reading I did another activity and it was the author one where I had to look up facts about Jacqueline Crompton Ottaway and write it down on my google slide. The first thing I had to do was search up facts about Jacqueline Crompton Ottaway and write it down in my own words. Then I had to look up a picture of Jacqueline Crompton Ottaway and put it on my google slide and book she has writtin so that I could put it around the first title slide then I had to search up more  facts because I didn't have enough facts in the first place then I found a website and I went on it and I found facts about Jacqueline Crompton Ottaway and wrote it down on my google slide the facts that I found.

World War 1 Interactive Notebook


This week for Inquiry we did the World War One and we had to do these two activites and complete it. For this activity I was working with SioneT and we both constrated on one thing to do first. So after we got into our partners we had to go into a group for the first round, I was with Acein, Jordon, Jayden, Jarome, SioneT and myself the first one we had to do was Leuge of Nations and then we had to serach it, so then when we were finish someone of each group has to say it, after Jayden said it we got back into our partners and do the rest of the defanations with our partners and we also had to finish of the time lines and there was a site to go onto it so that we could see the informations.

Co-Co's Crunch


This week for Cybersmart we had to play this game about Co-co's ceral website. On that website it was wanting us to make a poster and make it look nice and encourage everyone to buy Co-Co crunch, and say how crunchy and tasty it is. On my website I have a sticker with design your own Co-Co Crunch cereal box, the character lewis the dragon, the motto that tells you is tasty and chunchy and that you can come back for more and the cereal box and a contest you could enter to get one. This is the game we played for cybersmart and it was our first lesson for cybersmart for term 4.

Character Web

LI: To complete one of the follow up activites.
This week for reading 8 activites to do, and the book was called Stranger in the bay. The activite I did was the Character web and on the character web was the characters feelings, looks, what the characters acts like and its personality. The character I did in the book was Alex and I had to find out about her feelings, how she acts like, her personality and her looks. I learnt how to find out the information in the book about these's text boxes and write it down in the feelings box, the looks box, the Acts like text box and the personality text box, How I learnt is by looking into the book and I already knew what I was gonna write on the Character web and re read what I wrote because it might not make sense.

Maori Waka Migrations


This week for Maori Mrs Odie read us a book about In the Beginning,After Mrs Odie read the book to us she showed us a video of a man recreating it with making sand, Also I have the link to the youtube video Maori Creation Story in Sand Art . Also we were talking about the book and we were talking about the video and Mrs Odie told us some other stuff to talk about. Also we had to search up the waka's and this is the link to the website we were on Te Arawa Waka and we also searched about other things that Mrs Odie told us to search up.

Kiwi Can

Today was our first lesson at Kiwi Can.First we had to sit into four lines. Then Mr Matt said that we have a new leader Mrs Paige she introued for self to us. After that Mr Matt said what our new topic and the new theme and the topic was Respect and the theme was for our school. Then we got into our game the game that we played was no rules vs rules with tag, how we played was everyone was in for no rules and the other one was rules when Mr Matt and Mrs P was in and they had to come and tag us. Then we sat back down in four groups and go over what the theme was and the topic and we also talked about values. Then we got into our activity and it was four groups so in my group was Victoria, Florence, Ellenora, and Angelica and I, We had to do a play when two new students come into the class and the teacher says so today were having a shared lunch and there is two new stundents and they said ohh we don't have any lunch so I say oh that's alright because we have enough lunch for us then we just watched the other groups doing there play. Then we did GKQ and then we went back to class.
